    Siding Services We Offer

Siding Services We Offer Lexington Homeowners

We cover the full life of your exterior – new installation, full replacement, and repainting – with prep, cleanup, and permits handled for you. Explore our siding services to see how we work.

    Siding installation

    Siding installation

New siding starts with what sits behind it: sheathing, flashing, and a proper moisture barrier. Our siding installation in Lexington is measured, fastened, and sealed for New England weather, with clean lines around trim, windows, and rooflines.
    Siding replacement

    Siding replacement

When old siding is cracked, warped, or letting water in, we take it back to the sheathing, repair any rot we find, and rebuild the wall correctly. One crew, one point of contact, and a swept driveway at the end of each workday.
    Siding painting

    Siding painting

Paintable siding can look new again without a full tear-off. We wash, scrape, prime, and coat with exterior-grade products, then refresh trim and caulk lines so the finish holds up through Lexington winters and summer sun.
    Siding Materials
    Siding Materials for Lexington Homes

Exterior siding types we install and finish. Every material handles New England moisture and freeze-thaw a little differently. Compare the textures, colors, and finishes behind siding in Lexington, or see Siding services across Massachusetts.

    Fiber cement siding
    Fiber cement siding

Fiber cement pairs a wood-grain look with real toughness – it resists moisture, fire, and insects. Factory-baked color coats hold their tone through wind-driven rain and freeze-thaw cycles, so repainting is delayed years longer than it would be on bare wood.

    Vinyl siding

The low-maintenance favorite on Lexington streets. Vinyl never needs painting, rinses clean with a hose, and comes in dozens of colors plus clapboard, Dutch lap, and shake profiles. Modern panels flex with cold snaps instead of cracking.

    Wood
    Wood

Bringing warmth, texture, and timeless character to New England homes, natural wood siding creates a classic exterior look that never goes out of style. With proper sealing and routine maintenance, it can last for decades.

    Composite

Combining the appearance of traditional materials with modern performance, this siding option offers excellent durability with minimal upkeep. Its resistance to moisture, insects, and everyday wear makes it a dependable choice for homes exposed to changing weather conditions.

    Composite
    ACRE siding
    ACRE siding

Designed to replicate the look of real wood, this modern siding material provides a durable alternative with less maintenance. It withstands moisture, rot, and insects while delivering a consistent finish that complements both traditional and contemporary home designs.

    Boral/TruExterior

Offering the character of traditional wood profiles with enhanced durability, these siding solutions are built to resist moisture, movement, and weather-related wear. They provide homeowners with detailed architectural styles while reducing the maintenance typically required by natural materials.

    properties we serve

    Lexington Properties We Serve

From colonial-era houses to commercial exteriors. Siding in Lexington covers center-entrance colonials, newer subdivisions, and small commercial buildings, so we scope every job around the structure in front of us. Nearby: Siding installation in Concord.

    Colonial-era and pre-1978 homes

    Colonial-era and pre-1978 homes

Older Lexington houses need a gentle hand. We match original clapboard widths and trim profiles so the character stays intact, take extra care removing aged layers on pre-1978 walls, and correct the hidden rot and sheathing gaps these homes often hide.
    Newer residential builds

    Newer residential builds

Homes built from the 1980s onward are usually straightforward, so the work shifts to performance: tightening the weather barrier, upgrading thin builder-grade panels, and keeping colors consistent across additions, dormers, and garage bays.
    Commercial exteriors

    Commercial exteriors

For offices, storefronts, and multi-unit buildings, scheduling matters as much as the siding. We phase the work to keep entrances, parking, and tenant access open, and coordinate with property managers on staging and daily cleanup.

We had a great experience with Plum Pro overall. Yuk was very professional and well-organized while working with us on a proposal and contract to fix our deck after it was severely damaged by a fallen tree. He set us up with an accelerated timeline to help us coordinate this project with some of our other repairs, and aside from some weather delays stuck to it pretty well overall.

We could not have asked for a better team than Plum ProExteriors for our siding and window project. From start to finish, the process went smoothly. At our initial meeting, Yuk did a great job of explaining all of the different options available for our project. He then provided us with a very detailed estimate that gave us the confidence that there would not be any hidden/surprise costs/fees, which there were not. Once the contract was signed, Yuk did a great job of communicating when the project would start.

Yuk and the crew at Plum ProExteriors did an excellent job installing 7 Pella Architectural double-hung windows in my 1911 Dutch Colonial. Prior to providing a proposal, Yuk measured not once but twice to ensure the windows fit perfectly. Two of three windows were part of a bay window where the frames were no longer perfectly square. None the less, the crew got the windows to fit without issue. They finished with caulking any gaps inside and out for all the windows and finished the job in one day. The crew was clean and neat and even took away the old storm window frames. I already have received compliments on how well the windows look. Their price was fair and I would definitely hire Plum ProExteriors again. Thanks guys!

Yuk is definitely an A+. I felt very comfortable with him and trusted throughout the entire process. We ran into a few issues along the way and that’s to be expected, but Yuk was always available and made good on his promises. If I had to criticize one thing it would be that he doesn’t have a great carpenter for interior finish work, but in fairness he did make me aware that this was not something his crew normally does. Love the end product and the neighbors do too!

We have a full house of windows to replace and we are so happy we found Yuk thanks to a recommendation on a local Facebook group. Yuk quoted the entire job and was transparent in his pricing. Yuk was patient walking us through the process and updating quotes when we decided to start only with the largest and least efficient windows.

I hired Plum ProExteriors based on the quality of work I saw when I came across a renovation project they were doing in the area. I had roof, windows, doors, siding and decking done.I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge Yuk has in his trade. Communication was excellent. He kept me updated on the progress when I wasn’t there. Yuk and his crew worked efficiently and more importantly the quality of work was exceptional.

    Siding Questions Lexington Homeowners Ask

Which siding material holds its value best over the long run?

Fiber cement and insulated vinyl usually return the most: low upkeep, long color life, and strong resale appeal. Cedar wins in terms of historic curb appeal but needs regular staining. We price two options side by side so you can weigh cost against lifespan.

How does siding hold up against New England winters and coastal weather?

Very well, when the details behind it are right. We flash windows and penetrations, install a proper water-resistive barrier, and leave expansion gaps so that panels move through freeze-thaw cycles without buckling or allowing wind-driven rain to reach the sheathing.

What warranty is included with siding installation and materials?

Materials carry the manufacturer’s own warranty, which varies by product line and color, and we register it in your name once the final walkthrough is done. Labor coverage is stated in writing in your estimate, so you see the exact terms before work begins.

How long does a typical siding replacement project take?

Most Lexington homes take roughly 1 to 2 weeks of on-site work; larger or multi-story exteriors run longer. Material lead times, inspection scheduling, and weather all move the calendar, so we confirm a realistic window after measuring rather than promise a date.

What is the difference between vinyl, fiber cement, and wood?

Cost and upkeep, mostly. Vinyl is the lightest and fastest to hang, and washing is its only real chore. Fiber cement is heavier, cut and fastened on site, and holds paint for years. Wood is the most expensive and requires regular staining to remain sound.

Do you handle permits and ensure compliance with Massachusetts building codes?

Yes. We pull the permit through the Lexington Building Department, schedule the required inspections, and build in accordance with the Massachusetts State Building Code. Ask any siding contractors in Lexington you interview to show the same license, insurance, and permit history.
