    Complete Roofing in Maine

Complete Roofing in Maine, From Install to Repair

From full tear-offs to targeted leak fixes, our crews handle the work Maine homes need to stay dry through coastal storms and hard freezes. Explore our roofing services to see how each job is scoped.

    New roof installation and replacement

    New roof installation and replacement

When a roof has reached the end of its service life, we strip it to the deck, check the sheathing, and rebuild with proper underlayment, flashing, and ventilation. You get a clean, code-correct system sized for your home and its exposure.
    Roof repair and leak response

    Roof repair and leak response

Not every roof needs replacing. Our roofers in Maine trace the source of a leak, then repair damaged shingles, flashing, valleys, or vents, so water stops where it starts. Repairs are documented so you know exactly what was corrected.
    Flat and low-slope roofing

    Flat and low-slope roofing

Porches, additions, and garages often carry flat or low-slope sections that shed water slowly. We install and restore membrane systems with sealed seams and proper drainage details, so standing water and snow load do not become a problem.
    Roofing Materials
    Roofing Materials for Maine Homes

Material systems matched to coastal wind, snow load, and slope. Material choice drives how long roofing in Maine holds up. Wind off the water, heavy snow load, and freeze-thaw movement each test a roof differently – here’s how the common systems compare on durability, slope fit, and upkeep.

    Metal
    Metal

Metal roofs are made from durable metal panels or sheets and are known for their long service life. They are fire-resistant and reflect solar heat, which may help reduce cooling costs during warmer months.

    Cedar shingle

Cedar shingles provide a warm, natural appearance that complements traditional and coastal homes. They are a popular choice for homeowners who want a distinctive, classic roof with authentic wood texture.

    Cedar shingle
    Slate
    Slate

It’s a premium roofing material valued for its elegant appearance and exceptional durability. A properly installed slate roof can last for generations or even centuries, although it generally costs more than other roofing options.

    Asphalt shingle

Asphalt shingles are the most common residential roofing material in North America. They are relatively affordable, easy to install, and available in a wide range of colors and styles to suit different homes.

    Asphalt shingle
    EPDM
    EPDM

Ethylene propylene diene terpolymer is a rubber membrane commonly used on flat and low-slope roofs. It is known for its affordability, water resistance, flexibility, and long service life.

    properties we Roof

    Maine Properties We Roof

How our Maine roofing approach shifts by property type? Not every roof calls for the same plan. We scope each job around the building itself – its age, its exposure to wind and weather, and who is living or working inside while the crew is on site – then match schedule, access, and crew size to it.

    Single-family homes

    Single-family homes

Most of our work happens on occupied family homes, so the site plan matters as much as the roof plan. We protect landscaping and walkways, keep driveways usable, check attic ventilation while the deck is open, and clean up before we leave each day.
    Older and coastal properties

    Older and coastal properties

Capes and farmhouses hide surprises – soft decking, layered shingles, framing that needs shoring. Salt air and shoreline wind call for tighter fastening and careful edge flashing. We can coordinate with Siding services in Maine when the whole envelope needs attention.
    Commercial and multi-unit buildings

    Commercial and multi-unit buildings

For storefronts, offices, and apartment buildings, we plan around tenants and business hours: staged sections, off-hours delivery and staging, safe roof access around rooftop units, and written documentation owners and property managers can file.

We had a great experience with Plum Pro overall. Yuk was very professional and well-organized while working with us on a proposal and contract to fix our deck after it was severely damaged by a fallen tree. He set us up with an accelerated timeline to help us coordinate this project with some of our other repairs, and aside from some weather delays stuck to it pretty well overall.

The best contractor I’ve worked with on any project. Excellent communication throughout the whole process, took time to answer any questions or concerns, and the crew was great. They kept the work site very clean every day. We’re very happy with the results and with the whole process. Highly recommend.

We could not have asked for a better team than Plum ProExteriors for our siding and window project. From start to finish, the process went smoothly. At our initial meeting, Yuk did a great job of explaining all of the different options available for our project. He then provided us with a very detailed estimate that gave us the confidence that there would not be any hidden/surprise costs/fees, which there were not. Once the contract was signed, Yuk did a great job of communicating when the project would start.

Yuk and the crew at Plum ProExteriors did an excellent job installing 7 Pella Architectural double-hung windows in my 1911 Dutch Colonial. Prior to providing a proposal, Yuk measured not once but twice to ensure the windows fit perfectly. Two of three windows were part of a bay window where the frames were no longer perfectly square. None the less, the crew got the windows to fit without issue. They finished with caulking any gaps inside and out for all the windows and finished the job in one day. The crew was clean and neat and even took away the old storm window frames. I already have received compliments on how well the windows look. Their price was fair and I would definitely hire Plum ProExteriors again. Thanks guys!

Yuk is definitely an A+. I felt very comfortable with him and trusted throughout the entire process. We ran into a few issues along the way and that’s to be expected, but Yuk was always available and made good on his promises. If I had to criticize one thing it would be that he doesn’t have a great carpenter for interior finish work, but in fairness he did make me aware that this was not something his crew normally does. Love the end product and the neighbors do too!

We have a full house of windows to replace and we are so happy we found Yuk thanks to a recommendation on a local Facebook group. Yuk quoted the entire job and was transparent in his pricing. Yuk was patient walking us through the process and updating quotes when we decided to start only with the largest and least efficient windows.

I hired Plum ProExteriors based on the quality of work I saw when I came across a renovation project they were doing in the area. I had roof, windows, doors, siding and decking done.I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge Yuk has in his trade. Communication was excellent. He kept me updated on the progress when I wasn’t there. Yuk and his crew worked efficiently and more importantly the quality of work was exceptional.

    Maine Roofing Questions, Answered

How much does a new roof cost in Maine?

Full replacements typically run $8,000 to $25,000, depending on roof size, pitch, material, and decking repairs. Nearby ranges are similar – see Roofing services in New Hampshire.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family roofs are torn off and reinstalled in 1-3 days once materials are on site. Steep or multi-layer roofs, larger homes, and wet or windy stretches can add time, so we build the weather into the schedule.

How do I know if I need a repair vs. a full replacement?

A few missing shingles or a leak at flashing usually calls for a repair: widespread granule loss, soft or sagging decking, and a roof past the 20-year point toward replacement. Our inspection tells you which, in plain language.

Is roof damage from storms or ice dams covered by insurance?

Often, yes. Sudden storm damage is generally covered, while gradual wear is not, and ice dam leaks depend on your policy wording. We document conditions with photos and measurements so your adjuster has what they need for a claim.

What warranty comes with a new roof installation?

You get two layers of protection: the manufacturer’s material warranty on the shingles or membrane you choose, plus our workmanship coverage on the installation. Terms vary by system, so reputable roofing contractors in Maine put both in writing.

What financing options are available for a new roof?

We don’t publish set financing plans, so ask us directly, and we’ll talk through payment timing alongside your written estimate. Every quote is itemized line by line, so you can see exactly what you’re paying for before committing.
