    Siding Services

    Siding Services in Natick, MA

As siding contractors in Natick, MA, we handle three kinds of work: new siding installation, full tear-off and replacement, and painting or trim upgrades on existing exteriors. Explore our siding services.

    New siding installation

    New siding installation

For new builds, additions, and dormers, our siding installers in Natick, MA measure the walls, square up the sheathing, install house wrap and flashing, then hang panels and finish the corners, trim, and penetrations.
    Full siding replacement

    Full siding replacement

We strip the old siding down to the sheathing, inspect for rot or moisture damage, repair any issues, and re-wrap the house before the new panels go up. Old material is hauled away, and the site is cleaned at the end of each workday.
    Siding painting & exterior upgrades

    Siding painting & exterior upgrades

Siding still sound? We wash, scrape, prime, and repaint it, and swap out worn trim, soffit, fascia, and corner boards while we are on the ladders. It is a lighter scope of work when a full replacement is not what your home needs yet.
    Siding Materials
    Siding Materials for Natick Homes

Six siding options compared on look, upkeep, and weather. Natick homes take freeze-thaw swings, wind-driven rain, and humid summers. Every material handles that differently. Here is how six options compare on curb appeal, maintenance, and long-term performance so you can match the board to your house.

    Fiber cement siding
    Fiber cement siding

Fiber cement pairs a crisp wood-grain look with real toughness. It resists moisture, fire, and insects, and it holds paint through New England freeze-thaw cycles – a strong pick for elevations that catch wind-driven rain off open yards.

    Vinyl siding

Vinyl siding is a popular low-maintenance option for Natick homeowners. It comes in a wide range of colors and profiles, and insulated options can provide additional thermal performance during Massachusetts winters.

    Vinyl siding
    Wood and cedar siding
    Wood and cedar siding

Cedar clapboard and shingles give colonial-era homes their authentic character, and wood takes stain or paint beautifully. Plan on refinishing every few years – that upkeep is what keeps moisture and freeze-thaw from opening the seams.

    Composite siding

Engineered wood composite offers deep, natural grain, weighs less than fiber cement, and offers more impact resistance than vinyl. Treated strands and resins resist swelling through wet spring weather while keeping a warm, painted-wood appearance.

    Composite siding
    ACRE mineral siding
    ACRE mineral siding

ACRE by Modern Mill is a mineral-based board made from rice hulls. It cuts and shapes like real wood but will not rot, swell, or absorb water – a smart choice for shaded walls and details that stay damp after wind-driven rain.

    Boral TruExterior siding

TruExterior poly-ash siding and trim stay dimensionally stable through moisture swings and freeze-thaw, so joints stay tight season after season. It suits shaded north walls and near-grade details where other boards cup, and it paints any color.

    Property Types We Work On

Natick Property Types We Work On

How our approach shifts across Natick property types. Natick has a mix of older colonials, mid-century homes, and newer construction. Older homes may need more attention to existing trim, sheathing, and moisture damage, while newer homes often come down to material choice, appearance, and long-term maintenance. We scope every job around the structure in front of us. Looking for siding services beyond Natick? Explore our siding contractors in Framingham.

    Colonial-era and mid-century homes

    Colonial-era and mid-century homes

Older Natick homes tend to hide surprises. Before anything goes back up, we pull the old layers, inspect the sheathing for rot, and check the framing. Original trim profiles, window casings, and rooflines get matched so the house still reads as its era.
    Newer residential builds

    Newer residential builds

Homes built in recent decades usually need less repair and more upgrades. We work around family schedules, leave the site clean at the end of each day, and align transitions at corners, gables, and attached garages so the finished exterior looks intentional.
    Multi-family and light commercial

    Multi-family and light commercial

Duplexes, condo buildings, and small commercial properties come with tenants, boards, and parking to plan around. We phase the work, elevation by elevation, keep entries and walkways clear, and provide owners or property managers with one point of contact throughout.

We had a great experience with Plum Pro overall. Yuk was very professional and well-organized while working with us on a proposal and contract to fix our deck after it was severely damaged by a fallen tree. He set us up with an accelerated timeline to help us coordinate this project with some of our other repairs, and aside from some weather delays stuck to it pretty well overall.

We could not have asked for a better team than Plum ProExteriors for our siding and window project. From start to finish, the process went smoothly. At our initial meeting, Yuk did a great job of explaining all of the different options available for our project. He then provided us with a very detailed estimate that gave us the confidence that there would not be any hidden/surprise costs/fees, which there were not. Once the contract was signed, Yuk did a great job of communicating when the project would start.

Yuk and the crew at Plum ProExteriors did an excellent job installing 7 Pella Architectural double-hung windows in my 1911 Dutch Colonial. Prior to providing a proposal, Yuk measured not once but twice to ensure the windows fit perfectly. Two of three windows were part of a bay window where the frames were no longer perfectly square. None the less, the crew got the windows to fit without issue. They finished with caulking any gaps inside and out for all the windows and finished the job in one day. The crew was clean and neat and even took away the old storm window frames. I already have received compliments on how well the windows look. Their price was fair and I would definitely hire Plum ProExteriors again. Thanks guys!

Yuk is definitely an A+. I felt very comfortable with him and trusted throughout the entire process. We ran into a few issues along the way and that’s to be expected, but Yuk was always available and made good on his promises. If I had to criticize one thing it would be that he doesn’t have a great carpenter for interior finish work, but in fairness he did make me aware that this was not something his crew normally does. Love the end product and the neighbors do too!

We have a full house of windows to replace and we are so happy we found Yuk thanks to a recommendation on a local Facebook group. Yuk quoted the entire job and was transparent in his pricing. Yuk was patient walking us through the process and updating quotes when we decided to start only with the largest and least efficient windows.

I hired Plum ProExteriors based on the quality of work I saw when I came across a renovation project they were doing in the area. I had roof, windows, doors, siding and decking done.I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge Yuk has in his trade. Communication was excellent. He kept me updated on the progress when I wasn’t there. Yuk and his crew worked efficiently and more importantly the quality of work was exceptional.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to put siding on a house?

The cheapest way to install siding is to install vinyl siding and complete it as part of new home construction or a DIY project (if skilled). Vinyl siding is not heavy, requires minimal tools, and is relatively easy to put in place, so labor costs are less expensive.

What is the least expensive siding?

It is vinyl siding. It offers an adequate mix of low price, low maintenance, and moderate durability, so it is most popular among budget-conscious homeowners.

Does new siding increase home value?

Yes, replacing siding can highly increase your home’s curb appeal and resale value. Homeowners can expect to recover about 70%–80% of the expense of siding replacement as added home worth, especially if the material boosts energy efficiency and appearance.

    Does insurance cover siding?

Damage to siding caused by a hidden event like hail, wind, or fire can be repaired or replaced through homeowners insurance. It generally will not cover damage by age, mold, or neglect.

How often should I replace siding on a house?

Siding should typically be replaced every 20–40 years, depending on the type. Vinyl lasts 20–30 years, and fiber cement will last 30–50 years. The main signs that indicate it’s time to replace it: warping, cracking, fading, or damage from water.

What is the best commercial siding?

Metal siding (steel or aluminum) and fiber cement panels are among the best for commercial buildings. These siding types are durable, low maintenance, fire-resistant, and can withstand the worst weather, making them ideal for insulating business property in the long term.

What siding works best for Natick’s mix of historic and new-build homes?

Fiber cement and wood-style composite siding suit Natick’s historic homes, preserving classic character with modern durability. For newer builds, vinyl or engineered wood siding offer great value and low maintenance. We’ll help you choose the right fit for your home’s style.
